Giving Women What They Want

Training for success in businessNovaSci has completed a report into Women's Enterprise. The report was based on a survey into the needs of women in the North of the West Midlands. Most surprising was the fact that women were far more likely to want to start a business if they have never known an entrepreneur.

Based on the research, which identified barriers to education and enterprise, a new business skills training course will be delivered by NovaSci in Staffordshire.

 

What Employers Want

This week Keele University graduates were given invaluable insights into what employers are looking for in an increasingly competitive job market. Dr. Sharon George, Director at NovaSci Ltd, gave a talk on the key skills and experience that students can gain in order to raise their chances of employment.

 

Graduates Provide a Boost for North Staffordshire

25 Graduates in North Staffordshire were the first to access a new training course with a difference called Graduate Works. Graduate Works is a pilot programme conceived by AWM’s skills policy team to address the issue of particularly poor graduate retention in the private sector in North Staffordshire.
